We have been learning about magnets. The children have learnt that opposite poles attract and that not all metals are magnetic!
Year 2 visited the Blue Planet Aquarium to learn more about the sea creatures that are found in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Today in maths, the children have been dividing by 4 by sharing and partitioning. Fantastic independent work from the whole class! Well done!
To celebrate the World Cup we held a Samba music workshop for the children to play various musical instruments and have a samba dance!
Today, the children have had fun halving numbers 1-20 using cubes. Some children also halved numbers 20-100 by using the partition and halve method.
A big well done to our Mighty Mathematician & Awesome Author! Enas and Lois have produced brilliant work and it is now displayed in our entrance hall. Well done girls!
Last week the whole school celebrated D-Day. Each class had WW2 themed activities such as making gas masks and baking glory buns.
In Year 2 we have been using Numicon for addition.
The children have all done fantastically in our addition maths games.
